Dr. Thomas Croonenbroek is an IP Manager at Johnson Electric, a global industrial group with a strong focus on the automotive sector. He is qualified as a European Patent Attorney and French Patent Attorney, and is also a representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

In his role, he supports the business across the full intellectual property lifecycle, from invention harvesting and portfolio development to enforcement, risk management, and strategic decision-making. His work sits at the intersection of technology, law, and business, including extensive involvement in IP-related contracts, licensing agreements, and R&D collaborations with industrial and academic partners.

 

Thomas brings broad, hands-on experience across multiple technical fields, developed through years in private practice advising international clients on patent prosecution, litigation strategy, and freedom-to-operate matters. Prior to joining industry,he founded and led a patent law firm in France, where he worked closely with innovators and corporate decision-makers to align IP strategy with commercial objectives.
