Stephan Ising began his professional career with an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk before pursuing an advanced academic path in industrial engineering, leading to a Master’s degree from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2015. During his studies, he gained practical experience as a student trainee at Siemens AG and thyssenkrupp AG. Upon completing his degree, he stepped into a position dedicated to Intellectual Property strategy and research at thyssenkrupp Intellectual Property GmbH, where he focused on formulating strategic IP initiatives and conducting in-depth analyses to advance the company’s innovation goals. Building on this foundation, in 2020, following the successful completion of the “Intellectual Property Law and Management” program at CEIPI, he was promoted to Head of IP Strategy & IP Research, where he leads the strategic alignment of IP management with the business objectives of various thyssenkrupp business units.
